Like, 80% of my time
Is spent doing something english related whether it be reading (classics) or writing out sketches or researching an author or work or time period etc. with intention of writing something in the right style or getting my facts straight. And I like that. I don’t mind at all getting the urge to get up while I’m watching tv and read Julius Caesar and spend fifteen minutes just trying to find the ‘friends romans bros lend me your ears brutus was a chill guy but also a dick’ speech so I can try and pick up all the lines and gain something similar to understanding.
My only reservation about the whole thing is that I think so differently about books and about writing and about literature in general that translating it all into a college setting is pretty nerve racking.
